Retro GP is a racing game with optional one-off in-app purchases. It has no accounts of its own, no advertising, no analytics service and no servers. This page explains the little it does with data.
Race settings, championship progress, your chosen helmet and racer name, and lap-time calibration data are stored only on your device. The game also keeps a local log of race events (lap times, positions, penalties, frame timing) to tune difficulty and performance. This log never leaves your phone.
Private races and lap-record leaderboards use Apple's Game Center. When you use them, Apple handles your identity, your friends list, invitations and leaderboard scores under Apple's privacy policy. Retro GP receives your Game Center display name and player ID to show you in lobbies and on results boards, and sends your best lap times to the leaderboards you compete on. During a private race, your car's position is sent directly to the other players in that race and to no one else.
The game asks for permission before reading your Game Center friends list, and only uses it to let you invite friends.
In-app purchases (circuit, livery and helmet packs) are processed by Apple through the App Store. Retro GP never sees your payment details; it only receives confirmation from Apple of what you own, which is stored on your device so the content stays unlocked offline.
Retro GP does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Game Center features are subject to the age settings of the Apple ID in use.
